2002 Misc. Village Board Notes

April 2002

Absent members- M. Galoff
Agenda-
Cedar Corp. W/ Susan Peeples came to the board with information on how the citizens of the community could get assistance with upgrading the homes. There where differant grants available thet the Board could use, and also the citizens. this would include all areas, not just the Business district.

Jim Marson was given permission to do work on the auditorium building, and replace the Police entrance door.

Kramer Quarry Co. had sent new information to the board in regards to there hard hat policy while anyone is at the quarry.



August-

Agenda--
There was a damage report made out by a citizen on the East end of Pierce Ave. from the UFO days firework show. no other cases came up from the event.

There was discussion in regards to the Nelson Riverwood Dev. that was upcoming out on N Public Ave.
Jim DeBenedet from Stevens Engineering recommended the changes to the board. Greg Nelson is the owner.

There was discussion in regards to an easement request the village has had with Dean Holdon, in which Dean wants the village to check other alternatives to the looping of the water lines off Martin Ave.

The Board President Bill Stewart informed the board that Clerk Delorse Wilson will be retiring April 1, 2003 and Deputy clerk Vicki Lehman requested to stay in the Deputy position.

Discussion over the allowance of ATV use in the Village was going to be ok, this was going to be sent to a seperate committee meeting.

The Police Dept. bought a camera system for the squad car. the cost was $1,200.00, that was pre-approved by the committee. This was gotten due to the Community Club getting the funds together.


September-
Agenda--

The Board spoke over a barking dog complaint that has become a regular issue.
Assessment of the Nelson Development- Subdivision
The Library Board announced they had an opening for the Board.
The Police Dept. is asking for part time officers to assist in the community needs for coverage.There was discussion as well as the consideration.
Resident- Rick Talford was on the agenda to discuss the ongoing harassment by neighbor John Marson The board stated it would have to be sent to the committee for discussion.


December--
Agenda--

The auditorium rates for non-profit groups doubled it's fees, this was needed stated the village clerk Jodi Pulk.
The Police Dept has now received a laptop computer for the squad car use.
